Reconfigurable Training Simulators Provide Army With Seamless Training
ORLANDO, FL, May 18th, 2001 -- Lockheed Martin Information Systems (NYSE: LMT) has won a contract worth up to $17 million for 77 kits to allow reconfiguration of Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT) Bradley Fighting Vehicle simulators to match configurations fielded by the U.S. Army. The new simulator kits will enable CCTT simulators deployed in the United States and Korea to be rapidly reconfigured in the field to support the specific training need of the soldier. "The use of reconfigurable simulators, including lower cost kits, reduces the Army's total cost of ownership during the entire program lifecycle."
