CACI Awarded $17.6 Million Information Technology and Engineering Services Contract With U.S Air Force
Support Includes Command and Control and Logistics Engineering Services
Arlington, Va., May 9, 2001 -- CACI International Inc (NASDAQ:CACI) today announced that it has been awarded a 10-year, $17.6 million, time and materials task order under the General Services Administration (GSA) Millennia Lite contract vehicle. The contract is being administered by GSA's Federal Technology Service Southeast Sunbelt Region 4. The award calls for CACI to provide command, control, computers, communications, and information support to the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC), Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. This contract is part of CACI's ongoing support to the Air Force throughout the program design and implementation phases.
Under the contract terms, CACI's AFTAC team will deliver operations, maintenance, and engineering services to help the Air Force provide communications support for their radar systems located or deployed worldwide. This includes all aspects of on-site operations and maintenance for the systems and special security requirements, such as diagnosing, repairing, and replacing faulty systems and providing efficiency analyses of current systems. CACI's familiarity with Air Force communications systems, readiness levels, and existing equipment ensures timely maintenance and support, helping AFTAC maintain a high state of readiness for Air Force radar systems and support the accurate collection and dispersal of the data these systems gather.
According to CACI's President of U.S. Operations, Ken Johnson, "CACI's support for the Air Force Technical Applications Center started under the Air Force Electronics Systems Command at Hanscom Air Force Base. It began during the proof-of-concept stage, continued throughout the installation, integration, system acceptance, and full operational capability phases, and was followed by the transition of the program from Hanscom to AFTAC."
CACI Chairman and CEO Dr. J.P. (Jack) London stated, "Our contract award with the Air Force Technical Applications Center is especially rewarding as it is another link in CACI's continued partnership with the Air Force on this very important program. Moreover, it underscores our focus on supporting Defense Department agencies in their critical efforts to maintain the safety and well-being of our nation."
