- General Dynamics Awarded $3.2 Million Contract to Provide Data Storage System for F/A-18 Super Hornets General Dynamics 24 May 2001 -- General Dynamics Information Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded a $3.2 million dollar contract by the Raytheon Electronic Systems Company to design and develop the Data Storage System for the Active Electronic Scanned Array fire-control radar for the U.S. Navy’s F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet aircraft, and for other radar system improvement programs.
