
General Dynamics Awarded $25.3 Million Medium-Caliber Cartridge Contracts
FALLS CHURCH, Va. – The U.S. Army Operations Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., has awarded two contract add-ons to General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), for production of medium-caliber cartridges in support of training and operations of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Marine Corps and Navy.
The first award, valued at $15,835,540, is for the production of 634,370 TP-T M793 25mm cartridges and 681,540 TPDS-T M910 25mm training cartridges. Work will be performed in Marion, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 2002.
The second, valued at $9,533,837, is for production of 1,635,868 PGU-27A/B TP/BP 20mm cartridges. Work will be performed in Marion, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2002.
General Dynamics, headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, employs approximately 46,000 people and anticipates 2001 sales of approximately $11.5 billion.
