BAE SYSTEMS Awarded $16.9 Million For Automated Fuel Handling Services

BAE Systems Applied Technologies, part of BAE Systems North America, has been awarded a $16.9 million contract by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in Charleston, South Carolina. Under this contract BAE Systems will provide services and supplies in support of automated fuel handling equipment and fuel-related systems for Defense Fuel Support Center fuel storage terminals and base level fueling facilities worldwide. The contract contains three one-year options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $32 million.

In support of this effort, BAE Systems will provide personnel, facilities, equipment and materials to support a broad range of fuel facility automation projects. BAE Systems will perform facility assessments, preliminary system engineering plans, final system designs, system documentation, material and equipment procurement, installation and startup, personnel training and follow-on maintenance.

Work will be performed primarily by personnel of BAE Systems Applied Technologies Charleston, SC office. Projects will be installed at various locations throughout the continental United States, the Pacific Rim, and in Europe.
