Longbow Limited Liability Company Gets $118.1 Million Contract

Boosts Multi-Year Contract Value to $442.9 MILLION

ORLANDO, FLA., (February 1, 2001) --The Longbow Limited Liability Company (LBL), a Joint Venture of Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded a firm fixed price contract modification worth $118.1 million to provide the U.S. Army with Longbow fire control radars (FCRs), spare parts, and logistics support services.

The award provides for multi-year Lot 4 deliveries of 44 FCRs along with long lead funding for multi-year Lot 5 deliveries of an additional 57 FCRs. This contract raises the funded value of the Longbow FCR multi-year production contract to $442.9 million.

"This latest contract modification confirms the Army's continued confidence in the Longbow team's ability to deliver the highest quality radar systems on time and within budget, with the ultimate aim of protecting our war fighters," said Eugene H. Thompson, Northrop Grumman vice president of the Longbow Limited Liability Company.

Delivery of the 44 Lot 4 production FCRs will commence in March 2002 and be completed by February 2003. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md., and Orlando, Fla. The contracting agency is the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.
