
Northrop Grumman Delivers New E-2C Hawkeye As Group II Generation Makes Way For Hawkeye 2000
BETHPAGE, N.Y. - Feb. 1, 2001 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) Integrated Systems Sector delivered another new E-2C Hawkeye Group II to the U.S. Navy on Jan. 25, 2001. It is the 186th E-2C produced by the company for U.S. and foreign customers.
The final Group II Hawkeye will be delivered in midyear as deliveries transition to the next generation E-2C, the Hawkeye 2000. The Hawkeye 2000 features a new mission computer, new workstations, Cooperative Engagement Capability and other advances. The first of 21 Hawkeye 2000 aircraft ordered for the Navy under a multiyear contract is scheduled for delivery this October.
Hawkeye program management and engineering is based here, while the aircraft are produced, tested and delivered to the customers at the facility in St. Augustine, Fla.
