Ref: 001/2001
The Centre for Operational Research and Defence Analysis (CORDA), owned by BAE Systems, has won the UK Ministry of Defence Research competition to provide Fast Response Studies for the Director Equipment Capability (DEC) in the Underwater Battlefield Capability Area.
By beating off over 20 other companies and consortia that initially registered for the competition, CORDA will be involved in the day to day business of the DEC including cost/capability measurement, weapon and sensor capability evaluation across the whole spectrum of underwater systems, business case preparation for equipment procurement and concept studies.
Dr Peter Bruton, managing director of CORDA said: "I am delighted that the MoD has chosen CORDA as its defence contractor in such an important area. A great deal of effort has gone in by the team at CORDA and I would like to thank them for all the hard work that has resulted in us being awarded the sole contract.
"The success of our bid reflects the innovative solutions and in depth understanding of the customer's requirements that CORDA has in this area and reinforces CORDA's reputation for impartiality and objectivity in supplying Operational Analysis support."
