OSCE CHAIR SENDS PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE TO MONTENEGRO
VIENNA, 16 October 2000 - The Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE,
Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner, is sending her
Personal Representative for Southeastern Europe, Ambassador Albert
Rohan, to Montenegro on 17 and 18 October to hold talks with
Montenegro's leadership as well as leading personalities from the
opposition.
"The key to building a successful federal Yugoslav Government lies
with Montenegro," Mr. Rohan said. "President Kostunica, who is
expected in Podgorica on Tuesday, will need the full support of the
party represented in the federal parliament, SNP, as well as of
Montenegro's President Djukanovic."
During his talks, Mr. Rohan will also discuss the admission of the
Federal Republic of Yugoslavia into the OSCE as well as the future
constitutional relationship between Serbia and Montenegro
