CACI Awarded $8 Million Prime Contract to Support Navy Command and Control System

Company to Provide Verification and Validation for Navy Tactical Communications Program

Arlington, Va., June 6, 2000 -- CACI International Inc (NASDAQ: CACI) announced today that it has been awarded a four-year, $8 million, task order prime contract by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) San Diego, California, to support the Navy's Command and Control Processor/Common Data Link Management System (C2P/CDLMS). Under the terms of the contract, CACI will provide verification and validation testing for Navy tactical communications programs in support of C2P/CDLMS. CACI will perform the work principally at its offices in the San Diego area, with additional support provided at various Navy facilities.

The Navy's C2P/CDLMS collects, manages, transmits, and receives information that is essential to Naval tactical operations. The C2P/CDLMS communications programs that CACI will support enable shipboard, aircraft, and shore-based users to send and receive critical data such as reports of the position of both friendly and hostile forces, engagements, and battlefield activities, as well as orders to act upon such situations.

CACI has supported C2P/CDLMS programs since their inception, offering SSC San Diego in-depth experience with these systems, their hardware and software, and their capabilities. CACI's verification and validation activities provide early error detection and correction to ensure functional and performance requirements are met on time and within budget. CACI support will include testing for systems engineering products and processes, system and software development and development tools, and system modeling and simulation. When requested, CACI will also provide exploratory prototyping to analyze and assess new approaches and concepts.

CACI, Inc. President Ken Johnson said, "CACI's expertise in verification and validation will help ensure that data link programs delivered to the Fleet function as designed and provide the latest in tactical data link interoperability within today's complex communications environment. Our early and unbiased detection of any design defects also enables prompt and economical correction, saving the Navy time and money and reducing project risk."

Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, CACI Chairman and CEO, commented, "CACI's prime contract award in support of the Navy's Command and Control Processor/Common Data Link Management System continues our outstanding relationship with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego. Our work for this important Navy client supports our growth goals and strengthens our position as a dominant provider of engineering and testing services to the Navy's tactical community."
