May 29, 2000 (2:35 pm local time) At 11:30 am today, four Ethiopian air force jets bombed the military airbase in Asmara. The valiant air force successfully targeted Eritrean plane hangers and various military service-providing facilities at the base. The courageous Ethiopian air force successfully completed its mission despite the presence of an Eritrean fighter jet, which was incapable of impeding the bombing of the military base. All Ethiopian aircraft returned safely to base after successfully completing their mission.
