- GE Marine Engines' Proven LM Aeroderivative Gas Turbines are Best Solution for U.S. Navy's Next Generation DD 21 Destroyers GE Marine 19 Apr 2000 -- GE Marine Engines discussed how its full line of proven aeroderivative gas turbines are the best solution for the U.S. Navy's next generation DD 21 destroyers. The LM gas turbines range in power from 6,000 shaft horsepower (shp) to 57,300 shp, GE reported at the Sea-Air-Space 2000.
- GE's New On-line Remote Diagnostics to be Demonstrated Shipboard on the U.S. Navy's USS DONALD COOK DDG 75 Destroyer GE Marine 19 Apr 2000 -- GE Marine Engines announced that its new on-line remote diagnostics system will be demonstrated for the U.S. Navy on the USS Donald Cook DDG 75 destroyer later this year. GE recently completed the first U.S. Navy testing of this system on a GE LM2500 aeroderivative gas turbine at the land-based engineering site in Philadelphia, Pa., GE reported at Sea-Air-Space 2000.
