12 SOLDIERS WOUNDED

Country: LHOKSEUMAWE, INDONESIA Incident: The daily Serambi (Banda Aceh) has reported that 12 soldiers of the Indonesian Army Strategic Command (KOSTRAD) where slightly wounded when a rifle grenade/rocket was fired at a local military headquarters in Aceh Utara District. Personnel at the headquarters fired back wildly at the perpetrators and when daylight returned, undertook pursuit, but no contact was reported. In a separate incident, two young men on a motorbike threw a grenade at the house of the Dewantara Sub-District chief. The official and his family were unharmed.
