- United Arab Emirates Signs Agreement For Purchase Of 80 Lockheed Martin F-16s Lockheed Martin 05 Mar 2000 -- Officials of the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) and Lockheed Martin Corporation announced that they have signed contractual agreements providing for the U.A.E.'s purchase of 80 F-16 aircraft and associated equipment for an estimated $6.4 billion.
