ELTA Wins Maritime Surveillance Radar Contract for South Korea

The EL/M-2022 advanced multi-mode Maritime Surveillance Radar, designed and produced by ELTA Electronics Industries Ltd. a subsidiary of Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd., has been selected as the principal sensor for the Korean National Maritime Police Agency (KNMP) Maritime Patrol Aircraft).
Bombardier Aerospace of Canada will provide a Challenger 604 Aircraft and Systems installation will be done by Aerodata of Germany.
It is the first time that an ELTA Radar has been selected by the Republic of Korea, opening a promising market for the Maritime Surveillance Radar.
The EL/M-2022 Radar, is one of the most advanced of its kind, and has also been supplied to the Royal Australia Air Force as the principal sensor for its AP-3C maritime Surveillance Aircraft.
