- Alliant Techsystems Awarded $45 Million Contract to Produce Composite Launch Tubes for Javelin Anti-Tank Weapon ATK 11 Mar 1999 -- Alliant Techsystems (NYSE: ATK) said it has been selected by the Raytheon TI/Lockheed Martin JAVELIN Joint Venture to be the supplier of composite launch tube assemblies for the JAVELIN anti-tank weapon system. Deliveries under an initial $10 million contract will begin in March 1999 and run through September 2000. A firm follow-on contract valued at $35 million calls for deliveries between October 2000 and September 2004.
- Boeing Begins F-22 Integrated Avionics Testing On 757 Flying Test Bed Boeing 11 Mar 1999 -- Boeing today began testing the F-22 Raptor's integrated avionics on board its 757 Flying Test Bed. The 757 took off from Boeing Field and tested navigation and sensor emitter management functions.
