South Texas Ship Repair, Inc.,

South Texas Ship Repair (STSR) is located at Red Fish Bay Terminal in Aransas Pass, Texas - just a few miles from Naval Station Ingleside. Founded in 1996, STSR has enjoyed over 300 percent growth and completed over 40 Navy, Coast Guard, and commercial jobs on time and to the exacting standards required. STSR's 6,000 square-foot production facility, with 500 feet of waterfront, provides the tooling and capability to perform structural, mechanical, and electrical repairs and upgrades on all but the largest of ships. STSR holds an active Agreement for Boat Repair from the U.S. Navy, and all welders and electricians are certified, ensuring quality workmanship that is backed with a 60-day guarantee.

Since opening its doors in 1996, STSR has reduced the ship repair rates to the U.S. Navy in the Ingleside, Texas area by over 25 percent. During this same period of time, the company has been the first shipyard in the area to complete scheduled ship availabilities on schedule or ahead of schedule while still meeting the stringent quality requirements of the Navy and ISO 9002. STSR has also excelled in other areas. STSR assists in the repair and handling of minesweeping cables at the Navy's first shared repair operation, the Ingleside Cable Repair Facility. With over 25 competitive contract wins in a "best value" bidding arena, STSR has demonstrated the high levels of quality necessary to build an outstanding past performance track record.
