NOLF Silverhill
30.56 North / 87.82 West

NOLF Silverhill is a Navy Outlying Field (NOLF) located about 32 miles west-northwest of Pensacola Regional Airport. Initially built as satellite airfield for Whiting Field Naval Air Station, by the late 1990s the status of facility was unclear, as it was not listed among active airports, yet runway markings in 1998 photo appeared to be that of an active airport. The airfield consists of three runways: 5/23, 9/27 & 16/34, all approximately 3,150 ft long. As more T-6A aircraft join the training fleet, operations will commence at NOLF Summerdale, Alabama, and NOLF Silverhill, Alabama. These operations will require acquisition of land for the required Clear Zones to accommodate the longer runway requirements of the T-6A at NOLF Summerdale and NOLF Silverhill. These two projects will also require runway extensions.
