Shelbyville Armory

The Shelbyville Armory was constructed in 1971 as a four-unit, 800 person, one story armory to serve the Shelby County area. This facility currently provides military and community support to the entire state because it is the only aviation unit in the state of Indiana.

Shelbyville National Guard Armory Army Aviation Support Facility is located on 3556 N. Michigan Road (behind the Shelbyville Airport) just outside of Shelbyville, Indiana. Take the Fairland Road exit off of I-74 which is one exit north of the Shelbyville exit. From Indy turn left at the exit, go across the bridge and turn right at the base of the hill onto Michigan Road, the Armory will be on your left. From Shelbyville turn right at the exit, go down the hill and turn right onto Michigan Road, the Armory will be on your left.
