Panzer Kaserne is the eastern-most installation and home to Headquarters, 21st Theater Support Command. The 21st TSC serves as USAREUR's senior logistical command and oversees all forms of logistic support within the European theater. One of its major subordinate commands, the 200th Theater Support Command Materiel Management Center is also housed at Panzer with other major subordinate commands housed at Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Kleber Kaserne, Daenner Kaserne, and at the Kaiserslautern Industrial Complex [KIC].

The 21st Theater Army Area Command (TAACOM), the largest forward deployed logistical command in the United States Army. The 21st Theater Army Area Command has changed its name to the 21st Theater Support Command [TSC]. Comprised of seven major subordinate command, the 21st TSC carries out multiple missions within the entire European theater: direct and general maintenance and supply; total distribution, storage and maintenance of propositioned mater; military police support; movements control and material management for the theater. With the hard work that accompanies their vast array of mission, soldiers of the 21st find welcome relaxation in their adopted home of Kaiserslautern.

Panzer (German for Tank) Kaserne (German for Base) was the place where the Germans kept their tanks during World War II.
