Kleber Kaserne, Germany
Across from Daenner Kaserne is Kleber Kaserne, which houses the 37th Transportation Command and the 1st Transportation Movement Control Agency. Other 21st TSC units at Kleber include the Kaiserslautern Legal Center, 66th Transportation Company and the 15th Transportation Detachment.
The 21st Theater Support Command computer simulation center on Kleber Kaserne allows NATO allies and future NATO allies to see how the military decision-making process is formulated and executed by the US Army.
During August of 1976 the 37th Transportation Group Headquarters moved to its current location at Kleber Kaserne, Kaiserslautern. In March 1999, after spending six months transporting supplies along the roads in Bosnia, Hungary, and Croatia, soldiers of the 66th Transportation Company were glad to be back home at the Kleber Kaserne in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
The Law Center is located on Kleber Kaserne, only a mile from the 21st TSC OSJA on nearby Panzer Kaserne. Administrative Law for the 21st and other KMC Army organizations is the responsibility of the OSJA at Panzer Kaserne while every other legal function is performed at the KLC. This includes supporting six Special Court-Martial Convening Authorities, 18 Battalion-level commanders, and 60 Company-level commanders. Along with two Air Force legal assistance offices, the KLC provides legal services to 42,000 eligible individual clients, the largest potential client population outside the United States. The KLC also runs the largest Tax Program in Europe, assisting in the preparation of more than 4,000 state and federal income tax returns annually. With the Army having single service tort claims responsibility for Germany, the KLC processes Air Force tort claims from all major Air Force installations in Germany, with the exception of Rhein Mein. This makes the KLC the largest producer of tort claims of any American non-medical legal office in Europe.
