Camp New Jersey
Camp New Jersey is located approximately 31 miles northwest of Kuwait City, Kuwait.
In the run-up to the Major Combat Operations phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom, camp New Jersey served as the holding area in Kuwait for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) where it awaited orders to move north and cross into Iraq.
As of March 2003, the Camp New Jersey Dining Facility had been refined to best suit the needs of deployed soldiers. There DFAC personnel served hot food for breakfast and dinner. The dining hall boasted a main line, a grill line, desserts, as well as plenty of water for everybody.
Camp New Jersey is huge compared to what some thought it was. It was probably bigger than Arifjan but it didn't have any buildings, just lots of tents.
