Division
A Division is normally aligned as a staff element in Headquarters US Air Force, major command, numbered Air Force, center, field operating agency, or equivalent. Divisions supervise the activities of branches if the organization is large enough to require branches. Organizations that hold squadron status in the wing structure can be aligned as divisions when the head of the organization is a civilian (e.g., Services Divisions).
