982nd Training Group [982nd TRG]
The 982nd Training Group provides weapon systems training at 44 detachments and operating locations worldwide.
Two operational squadrons (372nd and 373rd Training Squadrons) execute the group's training mission. Almost 900 people are assigned to the group, which produces over 33,000 students a year through courses ranging from 2 to 500 hours in length.
Exercising single-point training management, the group is the Air Education and Training Command's first point of contact for many weapons systems. In this capacity, the 982nd develops comprehensive training programs and provides technical support for design and development of training equipment during acquisition and modification of aircraft and associated equipment.
In addition, field training personnel conduct Air National Guard/Air Force Reserves conversion training as well as Air Force security assistance training for international students.
