721st Air mobility Operations Group OL-B, based at Cairo East AB, Egypt, was previously assigned to the 621st Air Mobility Support Group, Ramstein AB, Germany, which was redesignated as the 721st AMOG on March 15, 2001 to better reflect the operations nature of the group's overall mission as an operational rather than support one.
