507th Operations Group [507th OG]

The 507th Operations Group has a lean staff consisting of the commander, quality assurance, and standardization-evaluation functions. The group commander oversees three subordinate units: the 465th Air Refueling Squadron, 507th Operations Support Flight, the 72nd Aerial Port Squadron and the 1st Aviation Standards Flight, located at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Will Rogers' World Airport, OK.

The 465th Air Refueling Squadron is one of three flying organizations in the 507th ARW, incorporating pilots and traditional operations functions. The squadron operates and maintains 8 Boeing KC-135R aircraft. As civilians, many of the pilots assigned to the refueling squadron are employed by commercial airlines. As reservists, they are required to fly the same type sorties as their active-duty counterparts to remain proficient and combat ready.

The 507th Operations Support Flight consolidates and incorporates all other traditional operations staff supervisory functions such as intelligence, flight records maintenance, and military training.

The 1st Aviation Standards Flight (ASF), represents a new mission for the 507th Operations Group and the Air Force Reserve. This unit, working in tandem with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), performs flight inspections of navigational-aid radar and instrument procedures at military and civilian installations in the United States and overseas. The flight operates from the Will Rogers International World Airport, in Oklahoma City, and augments the Air Force Flight Standards Agency Detachment 1, the on-site active-duty unit. The unit consists of approximately 23 people and is attached to the 507th ARW for administrative support. They fly and help maintain the FAA's British Aerospace BAE 125/800 "Hawker".

72nd Aerial Port Squadron personnel load, unload, and process airfreight arriving from and departing for locations worldwide.
