49th Test Squadron [49th TS]
The 49th Test Squadron is tasked with verifying and enhancing combat capability through the planning, support, execution, analysis, and reporting of bomber weapon system test and evaluation.
Evaluations performed by the unit include operational effectiveness and suitability, aircraft software/hardware interface with weapons, and performance of air-launched cruise missiles, standoff missiles, and gravity bombs.
The 49th TS also evaluates Tests Results support acquisition decisions and development of war plans.
