333rd Training Squadron [333rd TRS]
The 333rd Training Squadron provides in-residence and mobile training in communication and information functions, information assurance, and advanced network concepts and management.
In addition, the basic and advanced communications and information officer courses are taught within the 333d Training Squadron. The squadron also provides systems support instruction in a wide variety of communication and information systems such as the Global Command and Control System (GCCS), the Defense Messaging System, Theater Deployable Communications, and the Combat Information Transport System. In addition training sites at Keesler and in the field, GCCS courses are conducted at a detachment Sterling, VA and in the Pentagon, Washington DC.
A Flight is responsible for administration and teaching of several communications and information officer courses. The Basic Communications and Information Officer Training (BCOT) element provides entry-level C&I officer training to support Air Force Specialty Code upgrade from the basic AFSCs, 33S1 and 33S1A, to the fully qualified AFSCs, 33S3 and 33S3A. The Advanced Communications and Information Officer Training (ACOT) element provides mid-career level C&I officer training. All training provided is available to qualified regular Air Force, Guard, Reserve, and DOD civilians.
C Flight is the 333rd TRS' most diverse flight. Instructors in C Flight include Air Force officers, and enlisted instructors from the Army, Navy and Air Force. The courses include not only those taught at Keesler but many conducted at the users' location. Training is provided in network management, advanced computer programming, and systems supporting command and control.
