Group Milwaukee
Group Milwaukee, Wisconsin is home to three Coast Guard units including Marine Safety Office Milwaukee, Station Milwaukee and Electronics Support Detachment Milwaukee. Group Milwaukee is home to approximately 75 active duty and 50 Coast Guard reserve members. Group Milwaukee serves as the primary industrial support facility for 11 Coast Guard units located along the western shore of Lake Michigan and includes electrical, machinery and damage control shops. Group Milwaukee is also home to western side of Lake Michigan's Operation Center which provides command oversight and control of Search and Rescue for Coast Guard units responsible for an area stretching from the Indiana shore line to the upper peninsula of Michigan and includes the metropolitan areas of Chicago, IL., Milwaukee, WI and Green Bay, WI.
