Redut PMC

The private military company Redut [Redoubt] was formed from the employees of Gazprom, the Russian gas giant. Gazprom created a division called Potok, which was handed over to the Redut PMC. In addition to Potok, Gazprom created two more divisions - Fakel and Plamya - which were transferred directly to the Russian Defense Ministry. On 04 February 2023, the Russian prime minister signed a decree allowing Gazprom Neft to create a private security organization. Gazprom created a private mini army because it was concerned about the future when Putin is be forced to leave and the fight for power in Russia starts.

Redoubt ( fr . redoute - shelter ) is a fortification of a closed type , usually ( but not necessarily ) earthen , with a rampart and a moat , intended for all-round defense. It was built most often in the form of a quadrangle , although there were also five - hexagonal redoubts. Redoubts have been known since the 16th century and were widely used in the 17th - 19th centuries as strongholds. The redoubts were part of the guard lines of Russia. Peter I was one of the first to successfully use the redoubt system in a field battle (at the Battle of Poltava in 1709 ). In the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905, they were used in the system of field fortified positions. Redoubts lost their importance at the beginning of the First World War of 1914-1918 due to their great vulnerability to artillery fire.

PMC "Potok" from Gazprom, which allegedly receives "inconceivable money" - this is actually a volunteer battalion "Potok", which is just another BARS, one of three volunteer battalions formed by Gazprom, which signed a contract with LLC "Redut" (Shoigu's team, + Mishustin's February order on the private security company Gazprom Neft). Actually, in addition to the Wagners (which are assisted by Rosneft), there is only Redut, which is assisted by Gazprom. And, since the "Redoubt" goes under the Ministry of Defense (Shoigu), all the volunteer battalions that are under it carry all the same problems that are known to everyone in the troops, multiplied by even greater costs of unnecessary iterations and submissions.

Gazprom troops had been operating in Siberia for decades. For example, in the upper reaches of the Sosva, a wonderful river and, which is typical, the farther from the mouth, the larger the fish. Therefore, it makes sense to float on it. Casting through the Ural mountains (a normal SUV will pass there), the only road is occupied by the troops of Gazprom. There is a road, but there is a gas pipeline not far from it, so the road is closed by Gazprom and it doesn't matter that a driver had a permit, and the road is not officially closed.

Ukrainian intelligence said that in terms of numbers, Gazprom's PMCs might even, surpass the Wagner PMC, and in terms of salaries, this is unequivocal, because Gazprom is a symbol of Russian government capitalism. And in Russian state capitalism, top managers are paid a lot. It was assumed that the new company would stand on a par with the Wagner PMC and help the Orchestra in the Bakhmut direction.

The founder of the Wagner Group PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that Gazprom had created its own private military company "in order to dilute the Wagner PMC. Each creature has a pair." An unpleasant situation has developed on one of the flanks of the assault units of the Wagner PMC, which continue their offensive against the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine both in Bakhmut itself and in its vicinity. According to the fighters of the "Orchestra", the volunteer battalion "Potok" from the new PMC "Gazprom", which covered the flank of the "musicians", left its positions, thereby allowing the enemy to recapture the hard-won positions.

Prigozhin managed to make another loud statement : everything in the army depends on middle-level commanders. “Give me 200,000 mobilized and I will return all the territories that you pissed off! And the Donetsk region will be completely liberated. The new PMCs are shit.”

A fighter of the Wagner PMC complained in late April 2023 that Gazprom mercenaries fled, abandoning their positions near Bakhmut and exposing the flanks of the Wagner. "The neighbors who were on our flanks, the so-called Potok, the Gazprom PMC, which our director [Prigozhin] spoke about, completely abandoned their positions at night, threw away their weapons and fled. From there just like pissed creatures. We have to close the holes on our own," said the Wagner mercenary.

According to one of the Wagnerites, this happened to the west of Bakhmut, where PMC stormtroopers drove the enemy out of forest plantations. Since the "Orchestra" continued its offensive, units of the "Potok" volunteer battalion from the so-called new PMC, formed as part of "Gazprom", entered the positions recaptured from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the enemy launched a new attack, after which the Potok retreated, abandoning positions and weapons. At least that's what they say in PMC "Wagner". And "so the "blue stream" leaked" said the "Wagnerian"

Potok explained the retreat from positions by the fact that they are a voluntary unit that fights when it wants. At the same time, a video message from the Potok battalion fighters appeared on the Web, who blamed the leadership of the departmental security of PJSC Gazprom, a certain Redut LLC and the leadership of the battalion for their troubles, which did not provide the personnel with the necessary weapons and artillery support. The fighters of the PMC "Wagner" also got it, who allegedly forbade the departure of the "Potok" from positions and the rotation of personnel.
