Union of Cossacks-Warriors of Russia and Abroad

The All-Russian public organization for the development of the Cossacks "Union of Cossacks-Warriors of Russia and Abroad" was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on December 24, 2014. Abbreviated name of the Organization in Russian: "SKVRiZ". Today it is the only public Cossack organization in Russia, in the name of which its status as all-Russian is fixed and the use of the word "Russia" is allowed.

It is the successor of the previously existing "Union of Cossack Troops of Russia and Abroad", which was registered in Germany and whose activities in Russia were terminated by the decision of the Presnensky Court of the mountains. Moscow in December 2010 in connection with gross violations of the law governing the activities of public organizations.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the "Union of Cossacks-Warriors of Russia and Abroad" is a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Commission on Spiritual, Moral and Patriotic Education of Children and Youth of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation on Interethnic Relations, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and relations with compatriots Viktor Petrovich Vodolatsky. By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of June 2, 2000 No. 1012 V.P. Vodolatsky was awarded the rank of "Cossack General".

As stated in the Charter of the SKVRiZ, the purpose of creating the Organization is to protect the common interests of its members in the development of the Cossacks, protect the rights of the members of the organization, preserve the traditional way of life, management and culture of the Cossacks. Members of the organization can be both individual citizens and legal entities - public associations.

The object of the Organization's activities is

  • participation in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation in the development and implementation of state policy in relation to the Russian Cossacks;
  • development of the Russian Cossacks, protection of civil rights and freedoms, honor and dignity of the Cossacks;
  • taking care of family members of the Cossacks called up (entered) for military service, providing material and other assistance to the families of the dead (deceased) Cossacks, large families, orphans, the disabled and pensioners;
  • development of friendship and cooperation, maintenance of international peace and harmony among the peoples of the Russian Federation;
  • interaction with federal government authorities, government authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and local governments on the formation and development of the Russian Cossacks, the implementation of federal legislation and the legislation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation on issues of the Russian Cossacks;
  • participation in activities to strengthen the Russian statehood, socio-political stability and development of the traditions of the Russian Cossacks;
  • participation in the development of the Cossack cadet corps;
  • participation in the implementation of state and municipal programs and projects;
  • participation in the development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas in places of compact residence of the Russian Cossacks;
  • cultural, spiritual and moral education of the Cossacks, the preservation and development of Cossack traditions and customs, conducting cultural and sports activities;
  • strengthening of international relations with the Cossacks abroad;
  • interaction with military Cossack societies, public associations of Cossacks in the interests of the unification and development of the Russian Cossacks.

As of May 14, 2015, the registration of regional branches of the SPCR&R in Russia continued, the total number of which already exceeded 50. Upon completion of the registration, when it became possible to collect the necessary quorum, the Congress of the Members of the Organization (Big Circle) would be held. The Congress will determine the priority areas of its activities, elect the governing bodies and resolve other issues that fall within the competence of the supreme governing body, which is the Congress.
