South China Sea Rescue Bureau is primarily responsible for the southern waters of China and the Pearl River Estuary sea (water) on a life rescue work. The main duties are: to implement the state Department of Transportation and salvage work related policies, laws and regulations; responsible for our coastal waters and related domestic and international shipping, water facilities and distress in our coastal waters, and other aspects of domestic and foreign aircraft water life rescue; responsible for saving life at sea for the purpose of fire protection; commitment to aid for the direct purpose of human life rescue vessels and water facilities and other property; bear special political, military, disaster relief and other emergency rescue mission designated by the State; fulfill the relevant international international obligations under the Convention and the bilateral maritime agreements and so on.
