Tehran, IRNA -- The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence organization says it has identified and dismantled an anti-security network inside the country directed by US and Israeli intelligence services.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the IRGC said the network was taken down after several stages of monitoring, surveillance, and intelligence operations.
"The Zionist regime, acting as the US proxy in the region, turned to disrupting public security following its failure in the 12-day war, in an attempt to compensate for its humiliating military defeat," the statement said.
According to the IRGC, the dismantled group consisted of "deceived and traitorous elements" recruited to carry out acts aimed at undermining Iran's security.
The statement said the coordinated operation was conducted across several provinces, targeting "cells linked to the Zionist regime" that sought to destabilize the country.
