SSU checks state secrets protection in SAPO
Security Service of Ukraine
14:10, 21 July 2025
On July 21, the Security Service of Ukraine has launched a comprehensive inspection of compliance with state secrets legislation in the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office within the limits and in the manner prescribed by law, in particular Article 37 of the Law on State Secrets.
Please be informed that the Security Service of Ukraine did not have access to information on all covert and investigative actions, as well as special operations conducted by the NABU and the SAPO. The SSU inspection does not involve studying of such documents in general.
The allegations about the possible disclosure by the SSU of information about covert investigative actions conducted by the NABU and the SAPO are groundless and manipulative.
We would also like to emphasize that conducting urgent investigative actions without a court order is not a violation of the law in cases where obtaining such orders may cause information leakage and, in particular, impede special operations as part of investigations into cooperation with the aggressor country.
