An Israeli soldier has been arrested and formally charged with allegedly passing information to Iranian intelligence in exchange for financial compensation.

The military prosecution indicted the soldier on Thursday over "contact with a foreign agent and passing along information to the enemy" in exchange for money, according to Israeli media reports.

According to reports, the information allegedly shared by the soldier was not classified as sensitive or directly related to security.

It reportedly included a video of missile interceptor activity and photographs of missile strike locations and impact sites across the occupied territories during last month's 12-day Israeli aggression on Iran.

At the time, Israel banned the publication of the exact locations of hits by Iranian missiles.

Israel Police and the Shin Bet spy agency and the Police Investigation Department made the arrest following an investigation conducted with the so-called "Lahav 433 National Crime Unit".

The soldier's arrest has been extended until Tuesday.

Earlier on Thursday, a 33-year-old teacher from the Negev was indicted for allegedly "carrying out acts at the instruction of Iranian agents in exchange for pay."

As dozens of Israelis were arrested in recent months on suspicion of spying for Iran, the Israeli regime on Wednesday launched a PR campaign titled "Easy Money, Heavy Price".

The campaign, which will include ads on radio, websites and social media, aims to "raise awareness of the phenomenon of Israeli citizens cooperating with Iran, carrying out security missions for Iran inside Israel," reads a release from the Israeli cabinet's press office on Wednesday.

The alleged espionage activities conducted by the Israeli spies "included photographing military and sensitive sites, moving purported weapons within the country and laying the groundwork for assassination plots", The Times of Israel quoted the regime's authorities as saying.

In addition to financial incentives, some watchdogs say political divisions gripping the Israeli entity may also be pushing Israelis to conduct espionage activities.

Over the past year, Shin Bet and the Israeli police have "uncovered more than 25 instances of Israelis being recruited by Iran to carry out various missions, and more than 35 Israelis have been indicted on severe charges", according to the press office.

The Israeli regime launched a blatant and unprovoked act of aggression against Iran on June 13, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders and nuclear scientists in addition to civilians.

As the Iranian armed forces pounded Israel and its military and industrial infrastructure, using many new-generation missiles that precisely hit the designated targets, the embattled regime was forced to unilaterally declare a truce on June 24.
