Based on the evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine, an FSB agent who spied for the enemy at the State Space Agency of Ukraine has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The SSU Counterintelligence and investigators detained him this spring during a meeting at the Ministry of Strategic Industries.
The enemy agent was a SSAU official and was recruited remotely by russia's federal security service in 2024. To do this, the FSB used his wife, who lives in Rostov-on-Don, russia, and cooperates with the occupiers.
The adversary was interested in secret information to which the mole had access, in particular in the field of satellite imagery and locations of strategic enterprises.
Among other things, the FSB tried to obtain intelligence on the location of plants that manufacture navigation systems and high-precision weapons for Ukraine's defense.
The traitor was also supposed to pass current locations of military depots to the occupiers.
According to the investigation, the man agreed to work for the FSB in exchange for money. He also planned to move to russia after retiring in the summer of 2025.
A phone with evidence of working for russia was seized from the agent during searches.
Based on the SSU's investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Articles 28.2 and 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed by a group, upon prior conspiracy, under martial law).
The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office.
