Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, a member of an FSB agent group who spied in Donetsk region has been sentenced to prison.

The enemy cell was unique as it consisted exclusively of local women who supported russia's armed aggression.

According to the investigation, the agents were scattered and adjusted the aggressor's air and artillery strikes on locations of Ukrainian troops on Pokrovsk direction.

The SSU Counterintelligence detained all three members of the group during a special operation in August 2023.

Based on the investigation by the Security Service, the court sentenced one of the enemy accomplices to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The woman in question is a resident of Pokrovsk district, who was recruited by russia's federal security service before the start of the full-scale war and kept on standby.

After activation, the agent attempted to locate the airfields of Ukrainian Armed Forces combat helicopters in order to direct fire at them.

She also passed to the FSB the routes of Ukrainian armoured convoys moving towards the front line.

To carry out her tasks, the asset scouted the area, secretly photographed potential targets and recorded their coordinates.

Her phone, which she used to contact her handler and carry out his orders, was seized during searches.

Based on evidence collected by the SSU, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The investigation was conducted by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor's Office.
