Iran unveils stimulator of Ababil 3 drone

Kish Island, Hormuzgan Prov, Nov 19, IRNA -- The stimulator of Irans first home-made drone Ababil 3 was unveiled Wednesday during the 7th International Air and Aviation Industries Exhibition at this southern island.
The latest domestically-manufactured state-of-the-art unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was unveiled in a ceremony on Tuesday attended by several high-ranking Iranian officials.
The four-day 7th International Air and Aviation Industries exhibition kicked off on Tuesday.
The Ababil 3 can be used in reconnaissance operations and has flight duration of eight hours as well as effective operational radius of 250 kilometers.
The UAV can fly at an altitude of 15,000 feet and transmit images simultaneously to ground control stations or any other platforms.
Meanwhile, Irans first four-seat helicopter Sorena was unveiled at the exhibition yesterday.
Sorena is used for patrolling and training missions and enjoys a power engine of 300 HP and a flight speed of 160km.
In recent years, Iran has made major breakthrough in defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing important military equipment and systems.
