Iran's security forces disband foreign-linked terrorist team

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) disbanded a terrorist ring linked to foreigners' spy services in Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran.
The forces ambushed and arrested members of the terrorist network following reception of the information on the group's espionage. The group aimed to train and send a team for terrorist attempts and sabotage in Iran.
The members of the terrorist group were captured following their arrival in Iran in early days of new Iranian calendar year, started on March 21.
The terrorist team had sought bombing and sabotage in certain sensitive sites, identification of sites, terrorist attempts and creating unrest in the country. They were under umbrella of Iranian enemies' spy services.
Also the Iranian forces found explosives, sticky and roadside bombs, mobile phones, communication systems equipped with coding in cyber space and internet belonging to the group.
The arrested members of the team had confessed that they were linked and organized by spy agencies of cross-regional countries.
