Iran builds rescue and search drone

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian scholars managed to design and build a drone which can be used in rescue and search missions.

Executive director of the project "Yousefzadeh" noted the drone is 2 meters long and weighs12 kg with the distance of its wings 80cm capable of flying 50km above the earth.

He noted the drone which can fly at speeds up to 170 kilometers per hour, adding it enjoys the capacity of 2 hours non-stop flying.

Yousefzade stressed the drone is capable of operating different missions including the search and identification of the geographical position of the injured to the ground station and delivering of 20 kg of food and medicine to the positions already identified by the drone.
