Iran sentences CIA spy to death

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran sentenced the arrested CIA spy Amir Mirza Hekmati to death on charge of Moharebeh -- Waging War against God.
Hekmati was already arrested by Iranian Security Forces and his confessions were aired in Iranian state TV.
The initial court found him corrupt on Earth and charged him with working with the U.S. hostile government, spying for CIA and moharebeh and sentenced him to death.
The office of Iranian Judiciary Spokesman confirmed the news and told ISNA, "The verdict of Hekmati was delivered to his lawyer and they can go to appeal."
Hekmati, 28-year-old living in Michigan was arrested by Iranian Security forces following cooperation with CIA.
During the trial session, Hekmati defended himself and confessed to his crimes. He claimed that he had been deceived and had not sought damaging Iran's interests.
