Commissioning US virtual embassy aimed at spying: Boroujerdi

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, Dec 13, IRNA -- Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said here on Tuesday that the US is seeking to collect data and information through virtual embassy after the British Embassy was closed down in Iran.

Talking to reporters, he added that the plot was nabbed in the bud and Iran is too intelligent to be deceived by such policies.

On Obama’s request to deliver the US spy drone downed by Iran, he noted that it has violated the country’s airspace and this is considered violation based on the international regulations.

Borujerdi also said that Iran managed to neutralize airspace violation and it will by no means give it back to the US.

The US should file an official request to this end, but this has not happened, he said, noting that at least, the US should have apologized for its act and pay compensations for all the damages inflicted on Iran.

Commenting on the possibility for delivery of the drone to Russia in return for S300 missile systems, he said that Iran is among the countries possessing the technology for making various unmanned planes.

Iran is capable of using the drone and it has no need to employ Russian experts, he said.
