IAI/ELTA Systems' Real Time Intelligence Center (RICent) Technology Successfully Demonstrated in Latin America

Apr 5, 2011

ELTA Systems Ltd., an Israel Aerospace Industries group and subsidiary (IAI/ELTA) has recently successfully demonstrated its Real Time Intelligence Center (RICent) technology in several Latin-America countries.

RICent is a multi-sensor modular Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) system designed to produce 24/7 all-weather Geo-Spatial Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) by real-time processing and integration of images generated by a variety of space, airborne and land-based IMINT sensors. These sensors may include Electro-Optics, Infra-Red, Video, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI) radars.

RICENT multi-sensor exploitation and intelligence dissemination processes employ a variety of automatic and semi-automatic tools essential for quick detection, acquisition and identification of time-critical targets, extracted from the huge volumes of imagery data.

RICent's field-proven capabilities for very high-throughput automated Geo-Spatial Image Intelligence processing are essential in effective wide area environmental monitoring and in natural disasters situations.

"IAI/ ELTA's RICent presented impressive capabilities in the demonstrations, as expected from a world leader in its field. In today's fast pace operational environment, RICent offers unique abilities for rapid multi-sensor imagery exploitation and automatic generation and dissemination of relevant intelligence. We are confident that our customers benefit greatly from the RICent's imagery intelligence capabilities serving both their defense and environment protection needs" said Nissim Hadas, IAI Corporate VP and ELTA' s President.
