Clinton says WikiLeaks won't affect U.S. diplomacy

RIA Novosti

16:23 01/12/2010 ASTANA, December 1 (RIA Novosti) - Not a single OSCE member state has broken off diplomatic ties with Washington over revelations contained in the recent leak of secret U.S. cables, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday.

"I have certainly raised the issue of the leaks in order to assure our colleagues that it will not in any way interfere with American diplomacy or our commitment to continuing important work that is ongoing," Clinton said at an OSCE summit in the Kazakh capital of Astana.

"I have not had any concerns expressed about whether any nation will not continue to work with and discuss matters of importance to us both going forward," she added.

Among other comments, the cables said that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev played the role of "Robin" to his powerful Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's "Batman."
