
IAI Awarded Contract Worth $8.5 Million to Supply Multi-Sensor System

Israel Aerospace Industries' (IAI) group and wholly owned subsidiary, ELTA Systems Ltd., has been awarded a contract worth $8.5 million to supply and install the EL/I-3100, a compact modular Airborne Multi-Sensor Reconnaissance System (AMRES) designed to be installed on a light aircraft such as CATPASS-250, Fokker, Beechcraft, Astra, Galaxy or any Customer Furnished Airborne Platform (CFE).
The airborne reconnaissance system combines COMINT (Communication Intelligence) and IMINT (Image Intelligence) capabilities to support Law Enforcement Units in their Drug Enforcement missions and their struggle against terror activities.
The system includes the following features:
• An advanced COMINT/Direction Finding (DF) system for exploration, classification and monitoring of communication traffic
• A day & night , stabilized Electro-Optical Payload with tracking capabilities
• A CCD Video Camera
• A Digital/Analog Recording system
• A communication system (Data-Link) with the Ground Command & Control Station that is tasked to disseminate the information to Law Enforcement Units
• An Intercom system
• An independent Navigation system
In addition, ELTA will supply Ground Support Equipment, including a Pre-Mission Planning Station, Post-Mission Audio and Video Replay Stations, and a Post-Mission Analysis Station.
