Larijani: Nuclear espionage took place in past

Supreme Leader's representative to the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani here Monday expressed confidence that espionage in nuclear field had absolutely taken place in the past.
"When you do some strategic work, there is always the risk of facing espionage. As far as sensitivity of the work is concerned you should be careful because you are engaged in a field that is important for others."
Speaking at a press conference, he also rejected rumors that eavesdropping was involved in the recent report of the US National Intelligence Estimates.
Asked whether nuclear energy would be in Iran's interest, Larijani said, "Definitely it is to the benefit of the country. The system has ot engaged in the issue to guarantee the future of the Iranian people."
