MOSCOW, September 19 (RIA Novosti) - An officer serving with Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has been detained on suspicion of receiving a 1 million euro ($1.4 million) bribe, a law enforcement source said Wednesday.

The officer was assigned to the Audit Chamber, the source added.

A spokesman for the Moscow District Military Court identified him as Yury Gaidukov and said the court had issued an arrest warrant for him.

The spokesman also said Gaidukov's defense lawyers have appealed against the arrest warrant to a higher court.
