More than 170 Cases of Aerial Espionage Committed against DPRK in August

Pyongyang, August 31 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialist aggression forces and south Korean warmongers committed more than 170 cases of madcap aerial espionage against the DPRK by mobilizing strategic and tactical reconnaissance planes with different missions in August, according to a military source.
The U.S. forces perpetrated 110 cases of aerial espionage against the DPRK and the south Korean forces at least 60 cases.
On Aug. 30, a south Korea-based U-2 of the U.S. forces made a long shuttle flight to spy on all areas of the DPRK. A total of more than 20 cases of aerial espionage were committed by the plane this month.
The U.S. imperialists let two or three RC-12s fly in the air over areas along the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) to perpetrate aerial observation and photographing of areas of the DPRK every day.
An overseas-based E-3 flew in the air over south Korea to command flying corps involved in the air battle drills, while perpetrating madcap aerial espionage against the DPRK on Aug. 2, 7 and 16.
On Aug. 22 and 23 when the "Ulji Focus Lens" joint military exercises were at their height, the U.S. forces and the south Korean forces let 28 strategic and tactical reconnaissance planes including U-2, RC-12 and RF-4C fly in the sky above the forefront and areas along the MDL day and night for the purpose of perpetrating aerial observation, photographing and electronic reconnaissance of the whole area of the DPRK.
On Aug. 25 an overseas-based EP-3 was busy with day and night flight in the sky above the east and west coasts of south Korea with a mission to carry out search and electronic reconnaissance of the coasts and seabed of the DPRK.
