Israel Aerospace Industries' Elta Systems Group Receives $40 million Contract to Supply Advanced COMINT System
Feb 7, 2007
Israel Aerospace Industries’ (IAI) Elta Systems Group received a $40 million contract to supply and install a ground based Communication Intelligence (COMINT) EL/K-7036 system to an undisclosed customer.
The EL/K-7036 COMINT and Direction Finding System can cope with the operational challenges of dense communication transmissions. The system intercepts, locates and monitors transmissions covering wide frequency bands, with frequent changes in the network parameters. Through the automatic screening process, the system optimizes the interception and processing resources to enhance the operational performance, reduce the burden on the operators and increase efficiency. COMINT is a key system for war time and peace time to monitor and collect data of the communication traffic.
