CIA airplanes, believed to have transported terror suspects, have on several occasions landed in Germany, a news report said here Tuesday.
In one instance, a US Hercules AC-130 military plane took off on January 21, 2003 from the Rhein-Main Airbase en route to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Berlin-based Berliner Zeitung reported.
It remains unclear whether there were any terror suspects aboard the military aircraft, which belongs to a CIA front company named `Tepper Aviation'.
According to the report, at least five other `Tepper Aviation' airplanes made stops at the Rhein-Main Airbase between December 2001 and August 2003.
So far only one CIA flight, carrying a kidnapped Muslim clergyman from Milan, Italy was known to have landed on February, 17, 2003 at the US military's Ramstein airbase, located in southwestern Germany.
